1999
DePuy announces that its trauma division, DePuy ACE, will relocate from El Segundo, California, to Warsaw, Indiana. Also announced is DePuy AcroMed's move from Cleveland, Ohio, to Raynham, Massachusetts.

Jim Lent retires as Company Group Chairman and Worldwide Franchise Chairman of DePuy, Inc. after 15 years of service, with Mike Dormer assuming his responsibilities.

DePuy OrthoTech’s arthroscopy product line is transferred to Mitek, a division of Ethicon, to better position related businesses within the Johnson & Johnson family of companies. .

2000
Kevin Sidow is promoted to President of DePuy Orthopaedics.

DePuy OrthoTech is purchased by dj Orthopaedics, LLC of San Diego, California.

2001
Mike Dormer is promoted to Franchise Group Chairman and Member of the Executive Committee. In addition to the worldwide DePuy franchise, he assumes responsibility for the Ethicon, Inc. and Ethicon Endo-Surgery franchises and Johnson & Johnson’s medical device businesses in Latin America and Canada.

Kevin Sidow is promoted to Worldwide President of DePuy Orthopaedics, DePuy ACE and DePuy Casting Products.

2003
DePuy AcroMed changes its name to DePuy Spine.
